Computerworld New Zealand reports the demand for workers with IT skills appears to be holding up despite the nation’s current economic problems. In Computerworld > Demand for IT staff holding steady: recruiter deputy editor David Watson writes: “Next year should see steady demand for IT job-seekers, although things may not be as busy as this year.”

Despite these positive headlines some of the large US-based multinational technology companies including Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems look set to make substantial redundancies in Australia and New Zealand.
