IT staff demand steady

Computerworld New Zealand says the demand for skilled IT workers is holding up despite economic problems. In Demand for IT staff holding steady: recruiter deputy editor David Watson writes: "Next year should see steady demand for IT job-seekers, although things may not be as busy as this year."
Despite the good news some large US-based technology companies including Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems look set to cut jobs in Australia and New Zealand.
