Stuff.co.nz, which aggregates all of Fairfax’s New Zealand newspapers on a single site, went through a long overdue makeover last night.
It’s cleaner and crisper than before but the pages still weigh in at a bandwidth cap busting 1.5Mb a pop.
It looks more like the Australian Fairfax sites than previously and is now more readable on a small screen, say an iPhone or a netbook. Moreover, a technology section précis now appears on the front page whereas before there was just a drop-down tab.
The new site now uses Google search and allows users to register and create a personalised front page.
