NZ Tech Podcast 238: CarPlay, Android Auto hands on, Global Mode, Apple Music, Voyager
This week I join New Zealand Tech Podcast host Paul Spain and internet entrepreneur Seeby Woodhouse to try Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
We then discuss the demise of Global Mode, which allowed the users of New Zealand internet service providers who signed up for the service easier access to geo-blocked international streaming TV, music and movie channels. Global Mode closed following legal action from Spark (owner of Lightbox), MediaWorks, Sky TV and TVNZ.
We chat about Woodhouse' Voyager, a business focused fibre-based ISP opening its services up to consumers.
Elsewhere we look at Apple Music and Beats 1 radio, Hacking Team themselves getting hacked and Blackberry’s Android, Lumia 940, One Plus 2, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
