Commonsense leadership for new managers

Commonsense leadership for new managersThere is little to argue with in the Lead Well and Prosper list shown here. It lists 15 strategies. It’s all about Commonsense leadership for new managers.

All are spot on.

They square with everything I’ve written about management. And leadership.

If you can tick off all these points every week, you’ll be way ahead of every other nearby manager. And while the list is written for new managers, it wouldn’t hurt experienced ones to follow this recipe.

A lot of this boils down to not turning into an arrogant monster the moment you have a little power.

The list comes from the book Lead Well and Prosper: 15 Strategies for Becoming a Good Manager by Nick McCormick.

Thanks to Anthony Portuesi at drivenleaders.com for drawing my attention to this. You can read Anthony’s review of McCormick’s book at Commonsense Leadership for New Managers
