OEMs have always been idiots about this and crapware… Yes, I found a way to do this in the bowels of Windows – my point is that HP seems unable to explain to users how to do something that’s quite simple. Type factory reset, followed by the name of any smartphone or old-school PDA into Google, and you’ll instantly see a few short steps to resetting the device. It’s just as easy with the iPad and, I’m guessing here because I haven’t tried it, Android tablets.
